GORSE GETS HEALTHY

Volleyball reward trip

Yesterday saw more amazing things from the BIG 3, as the we hosted nearly 300 students and staff to the annual Brid Beach Volleyball Reward Trip, the largest junior volleyball tournament in the UK! Thank you to Elaine, Pete and the team for running such a fantastic day for our young people.

Please see write up from Elaine.

It was truly a fantastic day, filled with sunshine, sport, and smiles and a wonderful reminder of the progress we’ve made across the volleyball programme over the past few years.

A huge thank you to Leeds GORSE VC, Skyball, East Riding City Council, and our volleyball coaches for organising and delivering such a brilliant day. Thanks also to everyone who supported the event as we couldn’t have done it without you!

It was particularly special to see so many students enjoying their very first visit to the seaside, feeling the sand between their toes and experiencing the joy of playing beach volleyball. The level of play was remarkable, with students demonstrating impressive ball control and taking part in some fantastic rallies. Those who regularly attend GORSE camps and league competitions were especially excited to reconnect with friends and rivals from other academies, giving the event a real “who’s who” of the Trust.

Congratulations to our division winners:

Division 1 – BA
Division 2 – TMA
Division 3 – TFA
Division 4 – BSA
Division 5 – BSA

Thank you to all staff who attended and supported throughout the day, and to our dedicated PE staff running recreational volleyball clubs and encouraging participation all year long. Your support truly makes all the difference.

We’re so excited to be launching our beach volleyball programme in Leeds this year and we can’t wait to see what’s next!
