The EHC and LMaS team has made history by reaching the AoC National Women’s Cup Final! This marks a significant achievement, as it is the first time since the launch of the Gorse Volleyball programme at the post-16 level that one of our teams has made it to the final.
The Gorse girls dominated their match against the team that traveled all the way from Colchester, securing a convincing 3-0 win. The students were never in doubt, showing great defensive strength and aggression in their serves and attacks.
This victory sets the stage for the upcoming AoC National Cup final, which will take place on May 1st. The final will be held at BCU (Birmingham City University), where our students are eager to compete for the championship and showcase the hard work they’ve put in all season.
The girls’ success is a huge milestone for the programme, and the excitement is building as they prepare for their first-ever college final. Their journey is an inspiration to all and shows the incredible progress and development of the Gorse Volleyball programme.
But the journey doesn’t stop here. Next up are the boys, who will be facing a tough semifinal match at NCSG next Wednesday. They are determined to follow in the girls’ footsteps and achieve the same level of success. We’re all hopeful they can bring the same passion and energy to their match and secure a spot in the final.
