We recently held a Level 2 Strength and Conditioning Course for our staff at The Linked Hub, Morley. The course had an impressive attendance of 31 members of staff from across the tTrust. We would, firstly, like to say a huge thank you to these individuals who gave up two of their Sunday’s to attend the course and widen their skills set. The progress made over the two days is going to have so many benefits on not only their own physical health, but also the health of the young adults they are going on to teach.
Moving forward, strength and conditioning will be seen during curriculum time. With the relevant support, our staff are now well equipped to teach this safely and confidently so our students can gain a solid movement foundation to aid whichever sports they decide to participate in. It is important that students understand the relevance of strength and conditioning for their desired sport, and it is our job to implement good exercise habits into their routines. Staff are an excellent role model to the students and we are excited to see how this will develop both our staff and students.
