GORSE GETS HEALTHY

GORSE Games Volleyball 28/04/22

This evening, secondary academies from across the Trust came together to compete in the GORSE Games volleyball event at Bruntcliffe Academy. Thank you to Elaine, Pete and Leeds Gorse Volleyball Club for running a seamless evening. The atmosphere was absolutely fantastic, and it was excellent to see students enjoying competing and looking extremely smart in their brand-new kit. I honestly could not be happier or prouder with the progress we have collectively made as a trust since the last GORSE Games. A huge thank you to everyone who has contributed to making this happen, I cannot wait to see what the next year brings.

Please see the volleyball results and overall, GORSE Games standings below. I have also attached the breakdown of points from each year group. This shows how close it was across the whole competition and how academies are so closely matched.

A huge congratulations should go to The Farnley Academy, who took 1st position overall and matched their performance in the volleyball league. A special mention must also go to John Smeaton Academy, who took a first top spot, with their year 8 team taking 1st place.
